About Opmerk
What is Opmerk?
Opmerk is a web app at app.opmerk.io with a Chrome extension, made for businesses and their website teams. It asks AI services such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini the questions your customers ask and shows whether your business is named, recommended and cited. In the same workspace it analyses your pages for SEO and lets your team pin feedback to the live website.
Read moreWho is Opmerk for?
Businesses and the people who look after their website: owners, marketing teams, designers, developers and the agencies that work for them. Each project is one website, with its own team and roles.
Read moreHow is Opmerk different from BugHerd, Pastel or Marker.io?
All four collect feedback on a live website. Opmerk also checks the page for SEO and measures whether AI services name your business, in the same project. The others are stronger in places too, such as comments without an account or more task-tool integrations; the comparison lists both sides, checked on each product’s own website.
Read moreDo I need to add code to my website?
No. Connect the Opmerk Chrome extension to your project and review the live page. You can pin feedback without adding a script or rebuilding your website.

How is AI visibility measured?
Opmerk asks the AI services selected for your project, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Gemini, the questions your project tracks, on a fixed schedule and with web search. Each answer is read for mentions, recommendations and cited sources, and the headline rates cover the last four weeks. Results describe those questions and runs; they are not a measurement of every answer an AI service gives.
Read moreWhich AI services can Opmerk ask?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude through their own APIs, and Gemini, DeepSeek and Grok through OpenRouter. Every service answers with web search, through its API rather than the consumer app, so a signed-in person can see a different answer.
Read moreHow often are the answers measured?
Every week, twice a month or once a month, on Monday morning (UTC), as set for the project. A run can also be started by hand. A question can be asked more than once in a run, because the same question can get a different answer.
Read moreWhich questions should I track?
The questions your customers ask before they know you, in their language and market: who to choose, how to solve a problem, what something costs. Questions that name your business are counted apart. Opmerk can suggest questions from your website; a person activates them, because every active question is measured each run.
Read moreCan I compare my business with competitors?
Yes. Tracked competitors are counted in the same answers as your business, so you see who is named for each question and which websites the answers cite.
Read moreDoes being mentioned mean customers will see my business?
Not necessarily. A result describes the questions you track and the answers the services gave through their APIs. People who are signed in, in another place or with another history can get different answers, and no position is guaranteed.
Read moreWhat does Site readiness check?
Whether AI services can read your website, know who the business is and find it in the indexes they use: crawler access, structured data, Wikidata, the public crawl corpus and the Google index. Every check shows its evidence and the next step.

How do I install the Chrome extension?
Sign in at app.opmerk.io and open Extension setup to download your personal package. Extract it into a permanent folder, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode and choose Load unpacked. The package connects the extension to your account.
Read moreWhat comes with a feedback pin?
The screenshot, page URL, element selector and text, plus viewport and environment details. The discussion, assignee, priority and status stay connected to the finding.
Read moreCan my team review together?
Yes. Project members share feedback, tasks and comments, with realtime updates, live presence and cursors for reviewing together on the same page.
Read moreCan clients leave feedback without an account?
No. People join a project by invitation, as Project Admin, Editor or Viewer. Editors and admins pin and update work; viewers read. Your personal extension package signs in as you, so do not share it: invite the person instead.
Read moreWhat does the extension send to Opmerk?
Only what belongs to your projects. On a website connected to one of your projects, it records the pages you open there with their page audits, plus the screenshot, URL, selector, element text and viewport of each pin you send. Teammates see your cursor while review mode is on. On other websites nothing about the page is sent. It adds no script to your site and does not track its visitors.

What does the SEO analysis check?
Page titles, descriptions, headings, links and images, plus information the page source gives away. On every plan it runs in the browser on the page you open; on Pro, cloud scans discover and check the whole site.
Read moreIs Attention Review tracking my visitors?
No. It predicts visual attention from the page and lets you compare snapshots. It does not record real visitors or replace user research.

How do I get access, and what does it cost?
Accounts are created by invitation: a project Admin invites people from Manage team, and a System Admin sets each project to Core or Pro. Public pricing and self-serve subscriptions have not been announced yet.
Read moreWhat is the difference between Core and Pro?
Core is the review workflow: pins, review states, realtime presence, notifications and browser SEO analysis. Pro adds the wider view: cloud site scans, Site readiness, AI visibility with competitors, AI Insights, Attention Review and MCP for coding agents.
Read moreCan I connect a coding agent?
Yes. On Pro, the MCP connection gives supported coding agents access to feedback context and task workflows. Project roles and permissions still apply. The public MCP guide explains the setup.
